15 Cute Dresses for Summer 2018 Under $50 Online

I’m always on the lookout for a steal- especially when summer rolls around! There’s just no point in spending a fortune on dresses you might only wear a few times- especially when there are so many deals online right now. I am a huge sucker for dresses in the summer- who the heck wants to put together an entire outfit or wear jeans in the summer when you can throw on a dress and sandals and look effortlessly cute?

I’ve picked out 15 of the cutest dresses for Summer 2018 online. Oh, and the best part is that ALL of them are under $50! I found a wide assortment of dresses for various summer parties and events, as well as some cute and casual options for daytime.

Whether you’re heading to the beach, a friend’s wedding, or a night out on the town, you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect dress from this list:

Sweet Orange Mesh Detail Fit and Flare Dress, $36:

This bright orange dress is the epitome of summer. This A-line dress will instantly brighten up your wardrobe- and the neckline and hemline have cute semi-sheer mesh panels. I can see this paired with beige wedges or pumps for any of the summer parties I have yet to attend.

Piece Of Cake Ruffle Lace Trim Dress, $42:

This black and white lace trim dress is super girly. The contrasting black lace of this dress resembles icing on a cake. It has ruffle sleeves that can be worn on or off the shoulder. This dress would look cute paired with black pumps or heels and black jewelry.

Cloudy Day Off-Shoulder Romper in Pale Blue, SALE $28:

OK, we kinda sorta cheated on this one! First of all, it’s not really a dress, it’s a romper! It has shorts underneath, but a skirt over the top of the shorts, so it looks like a dress, and we wanted to include it anyway. It also actually retails for $56, but right now it is on sale for just $28, so hurry up and buy it if you want this romper dress! :+)  The ‘Cloudy Day Off-Shoulder Romper’ has a bandeau style liner for the bust area. The waist has a crochet waistband. The sleeves look adorable worn off the shoulder. This gorgeous and girly dress is perfect to wear to a summer festival or to wear it on a summer beach vacation. To complete the look, pair it with cute sandals and a headband and have the time of your life!

A Day at the Races Striped Dress in Black/White:

OK, so this striped dress is the deal of all deals! It regularly retails for $30 but right now you can get it for just….drum roll….$15!!! Yes, I said $15! I’m loving the nautical striped look for summer and this dress checks all the right boxes. It is simple and chic and has a timeless flattering A-line cut. We can see this being worn to the races…or any other social event on your calendar! Pair it with sandals and a floppy hat for a preppy look.

Day After Day Tie-Back Blouson Dress in Red, $30:

Here we have another amazing deal! This super cute little red dress has a flowy cut and is made out of a lightweight gauzy fabric perfect for summer. This dress normally retails for $30, but right now it is just $15 too! Wow, that’s two in a row! The red color of this dress will stand out in the crowd, but the casual cut and style of this dress ensures that you’ll be able to wear it nearly anywhere. I can see this dress being worn with sandals to a casual summer concert. Or you can dress it up with wedges, heels, or gladiator sandals for a chic boho style.

Strike The Right Note Off Shoulder Pencil Dress, $36:

This black and white striped pencil dress will hit all the right notes this summer! It has a striped top that can be worn off the shoulder. The attached skirt in black adds a chicness to this look. This is a cute dress to wear out on a date night with someone special. <3 You can never go wrong with black and white paired together, and this dress is no exception.

Out of the Blue Floral Plunging Neckline Midi Pencil Dress, $44

The bold blue and white floral print on this midi pencil dress just screams summer to me! In fact, it reminds me of clouds in the blue sky on a bright sunny day. I’m liking the daring plunging neckline paired with the longer midi skirt that hits below the knee- that way you’re not showing off too much skin and feeling overexposed. I can see this dress being worn out on a summer vacation or cruise. It’s a great dress for a night out and I think it will look perfect paired against the tan I’ve somehow managed to get this summer (despite sitting inside a dark office 8 hours a day). This dress is one of my faves so far!

Pearl of Wisdom Embellished Chiffon Maxi Dress in Lilac, $44

I just about DIED and went to heaven when I saw the price on this embellished maxi dress! Believe it or not, it’s actually on sale right now for just $22! What the heck? Now if only I had someone I could wear it to? I’m thinking I need to get invited to a black tie summer wedding just so I’ll have an excuse to buy this maxi dress. I really like the flutter top with the bead embellishments at the bust. It really reminds me of the Roaring 20s or Great Gatsby style. Hmmmm….there’s an idea! Maybe I’ll throw a Roaring 20s theme party so I’ll have a convenient reason to wear this little number. I’m a huge fan of wearing a maxi dress or gown like this with beaded sandals and a headband to give it more of a Great Gatsby feel, rather than looking too much like prom. I’m a little too old for prom, but this would actually make a gorgeous prom dress for a teenager too!

Boho Beauty Crochet Trim Dress in Beige, $46

This dress captures that laid-back hippie boho style I’m always trying to achieve. As one of my best friends tells me, “It’s all about looking like you didn’t try too hard”. There’s no other time of year than summer that this is truer. No one has the time or energy to put too much work into their style, and that’s why we always rely on laid-back flowy summer dresses we can throw on and be out the door in 5 minutes. This dress has a natural look to it, from the beige color to the lace trim. It also has a flutter top to add to the earthy hippie-girl style. I can see this paired with cowboy boots for a country concert or gold sandals for a laid-back but chic summer look.

Skyline View Midi Pencil Dress in Off White/Black, $36

So far, it may seem like I think everyone just gets to lay around on vacation every day all summer (wouldn’t that be nice)! But for those of us who aren’t students anymore, we unfortunately have to spend our summer days inside a dreary office building doing the daily work grind. Now if there’s one thing I love to add to my work wardrobe, it’s a cute work dress. I’ll be honest- I freakin’ HATE suits or anything stuffy to wear to the office. I feel like they smother me and are uncomfortable all day, not to mention they make me feel too boxy and masculine- just UGH! My favorite workweek staple is a classic sheath dress I can put on with heels and be out the door looking like a million bucks. I think having a few work dresses on hand in your closet is ideal for those days when you’re not sure what to wear and afraid you’re going to be late to work. This one is absolutely gorgeous. It has a great neutral ivory and black print on it. I can imagine pairing this with black pumps and a chic black handbag.

Gingham Style Bustier Pattern A-Line Dress in Black, $42

As soon as I laid eyes on this A-line sundress, I knew I had to include it! The black and white gingham print is perfect for summer and reminds me of my childhood. Gingham is a pattern that was popular when I was a little girl and has recently made a resurgence. I’ve seen it everywhere for Summer 2018! This pattern always reminds me of going on a picnic! Pair this fun dress with an oversized hat and wedges.

Vintage Vines Crochet Lace Midi Dress in Pink, $46

No summer dress list would be complete without the color PINK! Pink is the perfect color for Spring and Summer and this pale blush color is my favorite. It’s a super flattering shade that looks great on so many women. One of the reasons I love this dress is the longer midi cut (perfect for taller ladies)! I also think the unique lace pattern design is gorgeous. This dress is soft and pretty and I was thinking it would be perfect to wear to a summer wedding. The length makes it conservative enough that you won’t stand out for showing too much skin at a wedding. This dress would look amazing paired with beige heels or wedges.

Bountiful Beauty Off Shoulder Crochet Lace Dress in Off White, $48:

Forget the ‘little black dress’! This summer, it’s time to lighten up! It’s all about the little WHITE dress. Yes, that’s right. No summer dress list would be complete without the classic summer white dress. Part of the reason I think white is so popular is that it is just so flattering, especially against a dark summer tan. This white dress is made of an oversized crochet lace and has an off the shoulder cut with an A-line skirt. This dress is perfect for the bride-to-be planning a summer wedding. Wear this dress to your rehearsal dinner or bridal shower paired with nude heels and delicate jewelry.

Blue Skies Bustier Lace Pencil Dress, $42

Sometimes you need something a little sexy to turn heads when you go out! You’ll have all eyes on you in this sexy fitted lace dress with a bustier bust. The pale blue lace dress is lined in ivory and it comes with adjustable straps that are removable. I love that this dress, while sexy, has a longer length hemline so that it still looks classy. I can see wearing this dress on a summer date night out. The contrast of the blue and ivory together is lovely and the lace fabric adds a girly touch.

Antique Accent Embroidered Three Quarter Sleeve Dress in Midnight Blue, $44

While we are on a blue and ivory kick, let’s take note of this pretty midnight blue dress with ivory embroidered designs on it. Blue and white paired together has always been a favorite combination for me and this dress is no exception- especially for just $44! The style of this dress reminds me a bit of a boho prairie girl. Something about the embroidered designs has an antique feel. I would wear this dress casually with flat sandals and an oversized bag.

Everyone wants to look cute during the summer months, but not everyone wants to go broke shopping for summer dresses. This roundup of 15 summer dresses under $50 is a great starting point to help you add some new pieces to your wardrobe without spending a fortune.
